Open Your Mind

You know I should be more disciplined in blogging...hehe I feel so lazy to post.

I went to check out the cybergames at Suntec Convention Hall today with my secondary school friend. I find it really - boring? Well I couldn't see what was going with all the bystanders forming an impenetrable wall. So I just went around looking until there was someone passing out freebies. I tried to get the razer lanyard but the crowd really picked up when some they heard someone was passing out freebies...omg...its just a stupid lanyard...I really wanted to turn back but I was pinned in then I thought to myself...I ain't leaving this riot without a freaking lanyard!(especially after all the trouble I went through) It was really ugly...damn kiasus. Oh...I almost forgot...I saw Fiona Xie and that dude hosting that show which I don't recall, taking photograph with fans...we just walked away...lol no big deal

Then I suggested to Badrul that we headed to Singapore History Museum because they were screening a free showcase of locally produced animation. He agreed and we decided to walk there. Unfortunately we got lost. I didn't know that the museum had temporarily relocated to riverside. SO we walked there and went straight ahead from the MITA building thinking it was just up ahead. In the end we circled Fort Canning Hill, only to find the museum had been closed for renovations...Badrul knew...why didn't he tell me? I'm super blurrrrrrr

It wasn't so bad we managed to see Srinivas Baktha's(my animation guru) 'Flutter', 'Elephant OK' and the other I can't quite remember and Damien - Rex's 'Habit'. Ooooh then there was a Q&A session...A short break at 625pm and I went to Liang Court for dinner. OMG no other fast food outlet except for MacDonald's...Damn it...been eating it for a week DIE mac I hate you

I was still contemplating on attending the 'Best Of Ottawa 2004, 2005 ' screening which was between 7-9, 9-11 respectively. Then I thought...go for it since Desmond convinced me that it was free. Kekeke hey....it was so inspirational, awesome, funny!, weird, ridiculous and amazing all at the same time. (some were just plain kooky...) What an eye opener....so many interpretations, techniques and stories divulged. It was worth spending my time there, I learnt a thing or two.

Oh yeah, on a final note...I'm so embarrased...kept thinking Ottawa was some Japanese animator...It's the name of a place....So goondu ~ Hisyam!!!!
