It's been raining heavily the past few days and I've been sleeping in until late afternoon. Of course all of this at the expense of my assignments which I should be working on.

Talking about rain, I remember when I was younger, during which I had no computers and game consoles to get distracted with; I would be watching rivulets of raindrops rolling down the glass window of my old Bukit Batok apartment. It's kind of hypnotic and the rain never lets down. There was a big tree that was facing just outside my kitchen window and when lightning flashed, there would be scary silhouettes taunting me.

Back then, the only form of leisure I indulged in was reading. Imagination was the name of the game. Whenever it rained, I would lie on my bed and start reading furiously. The weather was particularly instrumental to my reading ambience. What a simple life I had lead before. And you know what, sometimes I wished it was just like that now - but only when it pours.
